Woolworths, Greville Road
The 3600m2 Supermarket is a key anchor to this development. The supermarket is ground-breaking for Woolworths as it will be the first to integrate a 1700m2 E-store that will focus on supporting internet orders and courier delivery for the region.
Not only does it compliment and create a focus for the existing and future residential precinct, this new town centre provides a buffer for residential areas to Greville Road and serves pedestrians, cyclists and vehicle traffic from Greville Road and Hugh Green Drive.
The development includes a retail strip that provides the edge to the north of the development. The strip uses varying height and scale to the buildings to reflect the larger scale of the double storey buildings and the form visually flows down the site from east to west. Designed to compliment the supermarket by use of scale and form, the use of warm materials to the cladding and verandas and extensive use of glazing creates a modern, welcoming and vibrant edge that links the northern entry of the site to the supermarket.

Palmers has, in a short time, developed into a popular hub and the new buildings will complement this activity. Connection from the Palmers level to the lower part of the development that is the retail strip and supermarket is reinforced with a clear axis of travel and public amenity through a large central plaza to the commercial building.
To organise the dramatic changes in level across the site, the two storey buildings retain the ground to the northeast. These buildings include a mix of tenancies, retail and hospitality, that will open to and connect the upper level to the Palmers Garden Centre.
